An accomplished writer of both stage and screen, Lorraine Devon Wilke has built a library of well-received, expertly crafted work in a unique style that exudes intelligence and humor. Always peppered with the edginess of real life and the roller coaster emotions that come with it, her clever plot twists and surprise endings keep things interesting. Most recently she has completed her first novel, The Pros and Cons Of Neighbors, and is currently working on her second. Novels: THE PROS AND CONS OF NEIGHBORS – upscale women's fiction On the day she buried the father so often longed for and rarely understood, Tessa Curzio - 36, semi-successful writer, retired rock singer, serial monogamist, ex-Scientologist, and one of six formerly-Catholic children of the deceased - is stunned to find a cache of his journals and in them, a scathing indictment of her life. This Pandora's box of discovery realigns all childhood memories and demands a tumultuous and life-altering journey in her attempt to not only rewrite her story but decipher the mystery of the man she loved and hated most. SHREDDER – upscale fiction An emotionally fragile but brilliant guitarist, living with his older sister and struggling to find meaning in a mundane but medically balanced life, discovers his muse in a young singer who crosses his path and inspires him to new possibilities where none previously existed. When a potent new drug regimen allows him to experience life, and music, without the emotional contraints that too often crippled his ablity to express himself, the two begin a musical and emotional journey that takes them places neither expected.
