While conventional wisdom has it that most creative types have their head in their art and little or no feel for business, Lorraine has been one to prove that axiom wrong. Convinced that it was not only essential but survival to have a solid sense of business from her young performance days on, she has always kept a foot on both sides of the art & commerce divide.

During the “big-hair” days of her band DEVON in the ‘80’s, she was concurrently being schooled in the art of bookkeeping by a licensed CPA, learning to deal with tax agencies, manage staffs and take the necessary steps to create a start-up business. This expertise has held her in good stead as she managed her own career as well as partnered in other artistic projects. Unwilling to sacrifice business acuity or leave her financial success exclusively in the hands of others, she has made it a life-long focus to live and work in both the creative and business worlds.
